Tyr Publishing is a small press. We do only quality books. This quality is evident in both the writing and production of our books. Our writers are world class as are every aspect and feature of our books from the pre-press galley, the typesetting and materials and processes chosen for the physical construction of the book.
As a small press, we are dependent upon getting thoroughly involved with each of our books. Each book is significant for us and we want to work with authors who are passionate about their work and want to see their work reach its largest possible audience. We realize that many great thinkers and authors abhor the concept of marketing and working to publicize their book. If you fall into that category, you should look elsewhere for a publisher. If you as an author want to work with us, we expect you to be involved for the long haul. This means conceiving and writing the book as well as actively promoting it after it is published. If you are not so passionate about what you have produced that you don't want to tell the world about it, Tyr Publishing is not for you.
Authors (what kind of authors we are looking for):
-Established authors, individuals who are enthusiastic to be involved
in spreading the word about themselves and their book(s).
- New authors especially those who have significant
life achievements and those, who have a vehicle for marketing
their book.
- Those with a special or unique story to tell.
- The simple fact is that a shameless, self-promoter will almost always be a more "successful" author than a struggling genius who is too much of an artist or intellectual to "lower" themselves to do promotion of their book. So write your magnum opus but if you want anyone to read it, you, the author need to promote your book. You need to be your book's biggest fan and tireless evangelizer. It is hard work and this will be the difference between your book selling a few copies and it being a best seller. The success of your book is up to you.
